The International Space Station
The International Space Station is a laboratory orbiting the at an altitude of 400 kilometers and has a speed of 27,000 km/h. Experiments are carried out in microgravity by astronauts for medical research, for new renewable energies, for the decisive monitoring of climate change and much more. But why are such technologies being tested up there?
Why is there a need for microgravity and the space is evidently the ideal place. Of course the photos of they are impressive and there is a special dome: for the astronauts it is a moment of leisure. What is the cost of this wonder? It costs money for every European citizen 1 euro per year: think that they are spent on fortune telling only in Italy approximately 8 billion euros per year! There would be so much more to write but I think this is enough to dispel any doubts about the importance of space research.
