Funeral events were held in Italy. More than 2 thousand people came to say goodbye to the former prime minister of the country. Leaders of foreign countries have arrived.

As it became known, the President of Iraq, the Prime Minister of Hungary, the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister George Meloni were present at the funeral ceremony.

More than 2 thousand people came to say goodbye to Silvio Berlusconi, including the country’s leadership, reports.

The visit of the head of Iraq Abdel Latif Rashid and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is reported.

Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni, and Deputy Prime Ministers Matteo Salvini and Antonio Tajani paid tribute to the memory of the deceased.

In total, about 15 thousand people gathered in the square near the Cathedral.

At the end of the mourning events, the coffin with the body of the deceased was taken to the villa in Arcore.

It is reported that the politician’s body will be cremated.

The ashes will be kept in the family mausoleum, which was erected at the request of Berlusconi himself during the politician’s lifetime.

Let us remember that Silvio Berlusconi died last Monday at the age of 87.
