It’s all the fault of space research, the new book by Passione Astronomia

26views

Almost two years have passed since the release of the first Passione Astronomia book. But today we are proud to announce our new adventure. “It’s All the Blame of Space Research” is available for pre-order.

We at Passione Astronomia are proud to announce our latest book. A journey into science, but with a completely different vision than ours. We have imagined a trial of science, a sort of dystonia where we have to defend our beliefs and the ideas that we have been spreading for some time. Each chapter will be an attack on the discoveries that space research has allowed us to have. New technologies, new ways of experimenting, we will be ready to defend science and astronomy. All to prove that space research also benefits us who are here on Earth.

Pre-order your copy now in all the main online stores (Amazon, IBS, Feltrinelli, Mondadori Store) and in bookstores, both chain and independent. !

Here’s a little synopsis for you

The detractors of astronomical research, those who shout loudly: “The money would be better spent elsewhere!” they will have to partly change their minds if they are willing to immerse themselves in these pages. It is not uncommon, in fact, for technological development in a given science to lead to significant progress in other sectors, one above all medicine: this is the case of the astronomical image processing techniques used to refine the first images of the Hubble space telescope, which they have also proven effective in identifying microcalcifications in mammograms.

A great achievement for prevention! But health is not the only area that enjoys the benefits of space research. In general, in everyday life, each of us takes advantage of our results without really realizing it: from wireless instruments to the possibility of watching TV series from the sofa at home, from the use of solar panels to the birth of spectrometers which, among other things, they are used to ensure airport security, the list is immense! In this book, the authors put us before the importance of research as a mission and an aspiration that always has positive effects on everyone’s everyday life, even when our gaze seems stubbornly aimed at the stars. Preface by Giovanni Covone.

The last year has indeed been very intense for all of us! We really hope that this second book can go beyond our community, making people understand how important space research is for our future and for everything we do on our planet. All the fault of space research is also a bit of an affront to all those detractors that every day, those who disseminate like us are forced to face in order to keep reality going. Thank you for always supporting us!
