Japan made the most expensive gas purchase in the country’s history

51views

Even in Japan, sometimes something happens for the first time and becomes an absolute national record.

This happened recently with the purchase of gas. The largest steel corporation in the Land of the Rising Sun, Nippon Steel, distinguished itself.

It purchased liquefied natural gas at the highest price in the history of blue fuel purchases in Japan.

TASS reported this with reference to the Reuters agency, which in turn refers to its own sources.

They say that Nippon Steel has bought a tanker with liquefied natural gas – the energy resource should be delivered in September.

The purchase price is $41 per BTU. This means the total price could be between $132 million and $135 million.

Such figures, experts point out, indicate that the concern has made the most expensive purchase of such gas in the entire history of Japan.
