The Japanese Coast Guard reported that North Korea launched a long-range ballistic missile.

Currently, the Japanese Ministry of Defense is clarifying the details of the launch, – TASS.

In connection with the incident, an emergency headquarters was created at the office of the country’s Prime Minister to collect information.

And the NHK TV channel, citing the Japanese defense department, reports that an intercontinental ballistic missile launched by Pyongyang could, with a normal trajectory, reach any point in the United States.

The Japanese military does not exclude that the flight range of this missile could be about 15,000 kilometers.

Since it was launched at a high angle, the flight altitude, the Ministry of Defense suggests, could have been about 6 kilometers.

It is reported that the rocket flew about 1,000 km and fell into the Sea of ​​Japan 250 km from the island of Hokkaido.

It was in the air for 74 minutes – this became a record flight duration for North Korea for this type of missile.
