Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Jaroslaw Kaczynski announced the state’s readiness to deploy US nuclear weapons on its territory.
The politician spoke about this in a conversation with representatives of the publication Welt am Sonntag. At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister noted, the time has come to increase NATO’s military contingent.
Kaczynski proposes to strengthen the grouping of NATO troops and organize a command post on Polish territory.
In principle, it makes sense to expand the nuclear exchange to the eastern flank,” the MIA politician quotes the statement as saying.
At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister notes that the initiative in resolving this issue belongs to Washington.
As for the size of the US military presence in Europe, figures were announced in the range of 150 thousand troops, despite the fact that 100 thousand soldiers are already on the continent.
The Polish politician proposes to concentrate half of the American militarists in Poland and the Baltic countries.
It is worth noting that the Polish side has not yet discussed these plans, as well as questions about the deployment of US nuclear weapons on its territory.
But at the same time, Kaczynski expresses confidence that under such circumstances it would be possible to contain the influence of the Russian Federation.
