0views

The head of the administration of the Melitopol district of the Zaporozhye region, Andrey Siguta, made an important statement.

He notified the general public that the Kakhovka Reservoir no longer existed.

According to him, “there is not much left in the Kherson region.”

In our area, exactly where the main Kakhovka reservoir is, in the Vasilievka area, it is practically gone, puddles remain, – official of MIA “Russia Today”.

Shiguta says that now in that location the situation is the same as it was “in the old days” – before the formation of the reservoir.

According to the civil servant, the Dnieper and Konka rivers flow in their own channels and do not overflow where the reservoir previously was.

Earlier, Russian media reported that on the night of June 6, the Ukrainian military struck the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.

As a result, there was an unregulated release of water from the reservoir, which led to flooding of a number of areas in the Kherson region and downstream of the Dnieper.
