Kazakhstan has banned the import and sale of vapes

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, approved amendments to the legislation on health issues, providing for the introduction of a ban on the import and sale of electronic cigarettes (vapes).

The amendments will come into force 60 days after the official publication of the law signed by the head of state.

How the ban on vaping will work in Kazakhstan

According to the President of Kazakhstan, the law establishes a ban on the production, import, sale and advertising of vapes.

Criminal liability is being introduced for the import and sale of vapes.

The amendments will take effect 60 days after the law is published.

The document is aimed at combating the spread of nicotine-containing substances among young people.

Earlier, a man was detained in Paris for threatening to blow up the Iranian consulate.
