Ruto said he would not sign the draft budget, admitting that he made this decision under public pressure.

According to the President of Kenya, the document in the form in which parliament approved it will be withdrawn.

He also confirmed the death of six people during the protests.

Reuters, citing data from the Kenya Medical Association, reported the death of 23 people.

Protests against additional taxes began in the country on June 18. The police used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the demonstrators, and a state of emergency was declared.

It was previously reported that there were three police officers and one civilian in Baku.
