The mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov, during the telethon, announced specific plans developed by local authorities for the evacuation of the city.
At the same time, he emphasized: despite the existence of these plans, there are no plans to implement them yet.
The mayor also informed that the current situation in Kharkov is calm.
Today we do not see that there is a wave of outflow, that people are fleeing Kharkov, leaving Kharkov. There is no panic in the city, – Terekhova MIA “Russia Today”.
Prior to this, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted that at present there are no grounds for evacuating Kharkov residents.
The department also sees no reason to remove people from settlements adjacent to the city.
It is worth noting that talk about the possible evacuation of the population of Kharkov appeared against the backdrop of a statement by retired General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former deputy head of the National Security Council of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos.
He notified his compatriots that the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the vicinity of the city of Chasov Yar were in a difficult situation.
In this regard, the officer did not rule out that the army would need to prepare for the defense of Kharkov.
Earlier, Russian media reported that Western pharmaceutical companies were testing a drug in Ukraine that could cause cancer.
