Supreme Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Jong-un believes that the unification of the Korean Peninsula is impossible.

The DPRK leader emphasized: The Workers’ Party of Korea has come to the conclusion that it is impossible to achieve the unification of North Korea and South Korea.

The policy of the Republic of Korea is cited as the reason for the impossibility of such a scenario.

Kim Jong-un’s statement is reported with reference to the DPRK state news agency.

The North Korean side believes that the country, located in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, is counting solely on unification “on the basis of absorption.”

But the DPRK has a different vision of a single country – “one people, one state, two systems,” the North Korean leader emphasized.

Kim Jong-un drew attention to the following: North Korea and South Korea have effectively become “hostile states.”

The top leader of the DPRK believes that the authorities of the neighboring country are “American minions”, so the North Korean side cannot negotiate with them regarding unification.
