The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to gradually withdraw its units from the city of Seversk (Bakhmut district of Donetsk region).
LPR People’s Militia officer Andrey Marochko informed about this in his Telegram channel.
According to the combat order, positions should be left secretly and retreated in small groups, – he wrote.
Earlier, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, notified the general public that the aforementioned Seversk was in an operational environment.
In turn, the first deputy head of the Ministry of Information of the Republic, Daniil Bezsonov, shared the information he has about the cleansing of the eastern districts of the city by DPR forces.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that pockets of resistance remain in some localities.
Seversk is located approximately three dozen kilometers west of Lisichansk. Fighting for the city has continued since July 3.
