Kyiv demands $750 billion to restore Ukraine

56views

The Kyiv School of Economics assessed the damage caused to Ukraine during the Russian military special operation.

Experts published the results of the calculations in an analytical report. There are two numbers there.

According to the document, losses amounted to 108 million dollars, but 750 billion are needed to restore the country.

These figures, reported by Rossiya Segodnya, coincided with those previously cited by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

According to economists, Ukraine needs at least $185 billion according to the World Economic Forum’s principle of “building back better.”

Of this amount, the report notes, 75 billion will be spent on housing construction, and approximately 42 billion on infrastructure.

The rest will be used to restore capacity in agriculture and industry.

In July, Timofey Milovanov, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said that the country needs to receive $100 billion annually for reconstruction.

Prior to this, Denis Shmygal announced an amount of $750 billion.

This money, he said, should be received from Russia, including through asset confiscation.
