According to the official, Soviet fighters and helicopters are being transferred, which were unofficially transferred to Ukraine by the Warsaw Pact states.
He also states that among the air assets being transferred there are those that were once taken out by the Americans from Afghanistan.
Earlier, representatives of the administration of the Russian-controlled part of the region reported that enemy actions to build fortified areas were observed near the borders.
Attention was also drawn to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are moving additional forces to the Zaporozhye region – the size of the group, according to authorities’ estimates, is already at least 40,000 people.
According to Rogov, Ukraine is trying to reach the Sea of Azov and cut off the land corridor to Crimea.
He suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could launch an offensive when the leaves appear, and this is somewhere in March-April.
The administration representative assured that in the Zaporozhye region they are ready to give a worthy rebuff to the enemy.
