The Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan has decided to cancel the CSTO “Indestructible Brotherhood” exercises in the country.
Thus, command post exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will not take place in this republic.
TASS reported this with reference to the local news agency 24.kg.
According to information from this media outlet, it was assumed that the exercises would take place in Kyrgyzstan from October 10 to 14 at the Edelweiss center.
In turn, the Russian news agency notes that the reasons why Bishkek made this decision are currently being clarified.
It is known that peacekeeping contingents from Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan were to take part in the exercises.
Such exercises – with the CSTO peacekeeping forces “Indestructible Brotherhood” – have been held for the last ten years.
