25 countries, 10 thousand soldiers and 250 aircraft will be involved in the largest NATO air exercises, starting in Germany.

According to the media, the NATO air exercises that have begun are the largest since the end of the Cold War.

The air force exercise is called Air Defender 2023 and, according to the organizers, should send an appropriate signal to the Kremlin, Aussiedlerbote.de.

According to experts, military maneuvers will affect civil air traffic, and they will last until June 23.

The exercises will take place in three airspace zones. In Germany, the space over the northern part and the North Sea, over the eastern part, the Baltic Sea and the southwestern part of Germany will be used.

According to sources, the idea of ​​holding maneuvers appeared in 2018, that is, long before the start of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in February 2022.

Aviation, missile defense and air defense systems will take part in the exercises, and in addition to NATO allies, the military of Japan and Sweden will take part in the skills training.

At the same time, it is reported that the threatening exercises are being carried out against the backdrop of the exhaustion of the capabilities of a number of European states to provide military assistance to the Kyiv regime.
