President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky acknowledged the worsening situation for his country’s army at the front.
He made the corresponding statement during an interview with a representative of the British broadcasting corporation BBC.

At the same time, he chose not to name specific figures regarding Ukrainian losses.
Before this, some local media, citing police information, reported that from October last year to June this year, more than 780 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers “officially went missing” in Krynki (a village in the Kherson region).
According to press reports, Kyiv was able to evacuate 262 bodies of dead soldiers from that area.
At the end of May 2024, the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Andrei Belousov informed that during that month the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost over 35,000 soldiers and more than 2,700 units of military equipment.
