The federal government has shown concern about the issue because Brazil is going through the worst drought in the last 94 years and, with the arrival of heat, it must face higher peaks in consumption.

One of the main challenges of the electricity sector has been precisely the so-called “peak hours”, when demand for energy peaks, between 6pm and 7pm.

This is a time when solar parks stop producing photovoltaic energy and wind farms tend to produce less, due to the low intensity of the winds, which are generally stronger at night and early in the morning.
