French President Emmanuel Macron publicly announced that the United States and Europe were overcome by doubts about the future of Ukraine.

He said that in addition to the United States, this issue was questioned by politicians from some European Union states.

But Paris, he said, considers it necessary to take measures to prevent Russia from winning the conflict.

The question of Europe’s ability

We feel that some European countries are starting to have doubts, just like Americans,” speaking as part of Macron’s television interview with the TASS agency.

The French leader believes that the EU is lucky with the current White House administration.

However, even there, he says, “there is uncertainty” due to the current political situation in the States.

According to Macron, the issue currently being resolved in Ukraine is “Europe’s ability to live in peace.”

In this regard, he noted: France is not at war with Russia, but it cannot allow its victory.

Strategic victories

According to the French leader, the West and Ukraine managed to “win strategic victories.”

One of these was the prevention of the advance of the Russian army beyond the positions that were occupied in the first weeks.

Macron considers the beginning of the process of Finland and Sweden joining NATO to be another strategic success of the West.

Failure

But the West suffered a setback, the speaker said, on the issue of the “collapse” of the Russian economy.

That is, he explained, sanctions and refusal to purchase energy resources from the Russian Federation turned out to be ineffective.

For this failure, the French President blamed states that help Russia circumvent sanctions.

Macron called on the West not to weaken its support for Ukraine and announced the adoption of major decisions in the near future.

Earlier, Antony Blinken said that the United States had developed plans for the development of Ukraine.
