A man who threatened to blow up the Iranian consulate in Paris was detained by police.
He turned out to be a Frenchman of Iranian origin.

Today, radio station Europe 1 reported that an unknown person has entered the Iranian consulate in Paris and is threatening to bomb it. It was noted that the man was wearing a belt with explosives.
According to BFMTV, the man surrendered to the police; no explosives were found on him. The detainee stated that he wanted to avenge his brother.
According to the TV channel, the man is a Frenchman of Iranian origin, born in Iran in 1963.
Last September he was detained for setting fire to the same building. The man was sentenced to 8 months in prison (with a probationary period of 2 years).
He was also banned from visiting the district in which the consulate is located.
