Man who threatened Lula and STF ministers is denounced by the PGR

The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) denounced, this Tuesday (10), Ivan Rejane Fonte Boa Pinto for alleged involvement in the January 8 attacks.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, he had committed the crimes of criminal association and incitement to crime due to his alleged involvement in the coup acts.

The complaint was made to the Federal Supreme Court (STF). If accepted by the Supreme Court, Ivan will become a defendant.

Ivan Rejane was already in prison, from July 2022 until October 2023, but minister Alexandre de Moraes.

In the complaint, the attorney general, Paulo Gonet, says there is “sufficient evidence that the accused joined the criminal association and the practice of criminal incitement in the context of undemocratic acts that culminated in violent acts”.

The document also shows that Ivan had at least nine distribution lists on a messaging application that “were used as an additional tool to enhance the sharing and reach of his anti-democratic content”.

HAS CNN the defense said it will comment on the complaint at the appropriate procedural time. “Ivan is awaiting his trial, trusting in justice and complying with all court orders.”

On social media, Ivan calls himself “Papo Reto Therapist”. He maintained a YouTube channel and made posts threatening politicians, such as President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Congresswoman Gleisi. Ivan also cursed STF ministers and said he will “hang” the magistrates “upside down”. His channel is no longer available on the platform.
