Media: China closed airspace for Boeing and Airbus to two Russian airlines

China has closed the skies to Airbus and Boeing aircraft of Russian airlines registered in two jurisdictions.

This decision was made due to the fact that Russian airlines were unable to provide China with data on the deregistration of aircraft abroad.

What happened

According to the publication, in May the PRC asked all air carriers to update electronic dossiers.

As an RBC source explained, Russian airlines updated the data, but were unable to provide the Chinese authorities with documents confirming the deregistration of aircraft abroad.

In accordance with international aviation legislation, the Chinese authorities refused to allow Russian airlines to fly such aircraft.
