Media: Germany and the United States are blocking Ukraine’s official application for NATO membership

0views

Bild reports, citing a high-ranking source, that Germany and the United States are blocking Ukraine’s application for NATO membership.

Last week, the Telegraph reported that during the NATO summit in Vilnius on July 11-12, Germany is going to speak out in favor of postponing Ukraine’s entry into the alliance.

It is written that Germany considers Ukraine’s entry into NATO untimely.

The publication notes that the German administration sees Kyiv’s entry into the alliance as a threat that will cause the start of a war with Russia.

The Financial Times wrote that the United States cannot approve Ukraine’s initiative due to the disagreement of other members of the alliance.

Bild’s source confirms that the United States and Germany are blocking the Ukrainian state from joining the alliance.

Currently, Ukraine has candidate status, but the application is still under consideration.

Even Vladimir Zelensky admitted that Ukraine’s admission to NATO is unlikely due to the military conflict.
