0views

The popular American publication National Geographic has fired its last authors.

From now on, freelancers and some editors will write articles.

Message from the Washington Post.

The article says that this American publication can be compared to an endangered species that is struggling to survive in the face of fierce competition.

On Wednesday, we had the opportunity to see a turning point when the publication’s management decided to fire the last authors from the staff.

National Geographic magazine has been writing articles for 135 years, focusing on science and nature.

A total of 19 authors, including staff members, were fired. They received notification in April 2023.

In addition, the magazine’s management decided that the printed version of the publication would no longer be sold at newsstands in the United States.

Contracts for photographers, who could spend months in the wild to produce quality images, were also cut.
