Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the question of her possible participation in resolving the Ukrainian conflict “is not worth it.”
The politician informed about this in a conversation with a correspondent of the Sette publication, noting that she does not know how the events taking place in Ukraine will end.
At the same time, she expressed hope that “someday” the conflict will end in peace negotiations, since this is how, according to her, wars end.
There is a difference between an imposed peace, which I, like many others, do not want, and open and friendly negotiations, – ex-leader of Germany TASS.
As for her actions as chancellor in relation to Moscow and Kyiv, Merkel said that she then made decisions based on logic that still seems “reasonable” to her today.
It was about trying to prevent a war like the current one. Just because it didn’t work out doesn’t mean it was wrong to try, she said.
