In the area of the city of Soledar (DPR), mobilized Ukrainian military personnel are leaving their positions en masse – deserting.
This information was shared with the general public by LPR People’s Militia officer Andrei Marochko.
He emphasized: information about the escape of mobilized Ukrainians was provided by intelligence officers.
Without waiting for tougher measures for disciplinary offenses, some of the military personnel from among the mobilized citizens began to run away from their positions and surrender to military law enforcement agencies, – officer of MIA “Russia Today”.
Earlier, on Monday, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that he had addressed Vladimir Zelensky with a request.
He asked the president to sign the law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, toughening the punishment for failure to comply with orders and desertion.
According to the document, it is proposed to increase the term of imprisonment – from the current 3-7 years to 5-8 years.
By the way, Marochko also said that in the areas of Soledar and Artemovsk, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces abandoned the offensive and went into defensive mode.
He explained this by the daily losses of the Ukrainian side both in manpower and equipment.
