43views

Following the coronavirus, another scourge came to the world – monkey pox.

Doctors are reporting an outbreak of a viral disease in many European countries, as well as in Canada and Australia.

In this regard, the World Health Organization convenes an emergency meeting.

According to the Belta news agency, with reference to the Telegraph newspaper, leading experts have been invited to the emergency meeting.

Experts will urgently discuss issues related to the methods of transmission of the disease, its spread among representatives of sexual minorities, and the situation with vaccines.

It was recently reported that in Madrid alone there were 8 cases of monkeypox infection.

Previously, similar cases were registered in Portugal, Great Britain, and Germany.

To date, experts cannot say exactly how the sick people became infected, since they did not contact each other.

According to WHO, in Africa, monkeypox kills approximately 10% of affected children.
