Minister Alexandre de Moraes, from the (STF), determined, this Friday (27), that the X guarantees the payment of fines in order to be unblocked in the country.
The platform must pay a new fine of R$10 million. The value represents two days in which the social network was available to users in Brazil, disregarding the blocking order.
The minister also ordered the company to inform whether the amounts already blocked, of R$ 18.3 million (referring to fines for failing to comply with previous decisions), will actually be used to pay the punishments.
Moraes also ordered the company’s legal representative, Rachel de Oliveira, to pay a fine of R$300,000.
Lawyers representing X in Brazil sent a petition to the STF on Thursday (26) stating that all documents requested for the resumption of the social network in Brazil had been presented.
