Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), summoned this Thursday (19) the lawyers who said they represented X (formerly Twitter) to prove the company’s representation in Brazil. The deadline is 24 hours.
According to the minister’s decision, lawyers André Zonaro Giacchetta and Sérgio Rosenthal presented a document to the STF informing that they will act in the platform’s legal defense.
However, there is no proof of the return of X BRASIL’s activities or the regularity of the constitution of its new legal representatives or even lawyers.
“There is, therefore, no proof of the regularity of the representation of X BRASIL INTERNET LTDA. (CNPJ 16.954.565.0001-48) in Brazilian territory, as well as the legality of establishing new lawyers”, stated the minister.

Suspension
The X platform has been suspended in Brazil since August 30th. The decision was confirmed unanimously by the first panel of the STF. The block was determined after the platform removed its legal representative from the country without appointing a replacement.
