The head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, said that the country no longer supplies Ukraine with any weapons.

The Polish Prime Minister made this statement in an interview with Polsat TV channel.

Why Poland no longer supplies weapons to Ukraine

Answering the question about whether Poland will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, Morawiecki said that Poland has already stopped supplying weapons to Ukraine.

According to the Prime Minister of Poland, the country itself is now arming itself with the most modern weapons.

Poland no longer transfers any weapons to Ukraine, – said the head of the Polish government.

According to the Prime Minister of Poland, the country acts in accordance with the principle “if you want peace, prepare for war” and therefore has ordered a lot of weapons for itself.

The Polish authorities have repeatedly emphasized that the country is in third place in terms of volumes of military assistance to Ukraine after the United States and Great Britain.

At the end of July, it was reported that Poland transferred T-72 tanks, 14 German Leopard 2 tanks, MiG-29 aircraft, MANPADS, drones, artillery and other ammunition worth 3 billion euros to Ukraine.

In April 2022, Poland announced the transfer of weapons and equipment to Ukraine worth 1.5 billion euros. Over the year, the amount of supplies increased by 1 billion, while 500 million in assistance was provided over the past three to four months.

As part of this assistance, Ukraine received from Poland air defense systems, rocket and cannon artillery, fighter aircraft and drones, tanks and other armored vehicles, small arms and a variety of ammunition of various calibers and purposes.

Recently, relations between Warsaw and Kyiv have become significantly more complicated due to the introduction by Poland of an embargo on the import of Ukrainian grain.

The day before, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, said that some European friends of Ukraine refused to buy grain from it and thus played along with Russia.

After this, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Ukrainian Ambassador Vasily Zvarych and lodged a strong protest with him in connection with Zelensky’s statements.

Polish President Andrzej Duda, after speaking at the UN General Assembly, told reporters that Ukraine is behaving like a drowning man, dragging a rescuer to the bottom.

On September 15, the European Commission lifted the embargo on the import of four types of agricultural products from Ukraine to the five neighboring countries of the European Union.

After this, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary extended the ban unilaterally. Ukraine responded by filing a complaint with the World Trade Organization.

In response, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia announced that they would boycott meetings of the coordination platform on Ukrainian grain.
