More than 10 NATO soldiers were injured during parachute jumps

It recently became known that more than ten NATO soldiers were injured during parachute jumps in Sweden.

The incident took place during the North Atlantic Alliance’s Swift Response exercise.

The scene of the incident is the village of Skillingaryd, located in the province of Småland.

MIA Rossiya Segodnya reported this with reference to the Aftonbladet newspaper, which clarified that the emergency happened on Tuesday, May 7.

According to the publication, a total of 11 parachuting soldiers were injured.

The newspaper learned that Italian, Hungarian and American military personnel were injured.

As follows from the publication, mostly fractures and wounds were recorded, but none of the victims received life-threatening injuries.

The newspaper draws attention: nine paratroopers were evacuated by helicopter, and two were taken to the hospital.

Earlier it became known that the NATO ground forces headquarters in Finland are only 140 km from the border with the Russian Federation.
