More than expected. Forbes spoke about the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the south of Ukraine

Forbes magazine journalist David Ax learned about the true losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in southern Ukraine on June 8, 2023.

On that day, as noted in the publication, the Ukrainian military tried to pass the minefields.

Their campaign was a failure, and the losses were “more catastrophic” than originally expected.

The Ukrainian defeat at Malaya Tokmachka turned out to be more catastrophic than we thought – columnist for MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

He claims that unnamed analysts learned from their calculations that even more American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles of the 47th Brigade were “knocked out and abandoned.”

The author of the article clarifies: the analysts he mentioned studied the video from the UAV for two weeks and constantly updated the list of lost APU equipment.

The smoke cleared, and at least 25 damaged Ukrainian vehicles were discovered: 17 M2, four Leopard 2A6 tanks, three Leopard 2R and one Wisent, – these are the numbers Mr. Eks calls.

He notes: in an hour or two of trying to pass the mine fence, the Ukrainian military lost almost a fifth of their M2s, 1/5 of their Leopard 2A6s and half of their Leopard 2Rs.

The journalist writes that the United States has declared its readiness to supply Kyiv with an additional batch of Bradleys, but Europe will be forced to once again “chip in” on “leopards.”

Summarizing all of the above, Ex calls the June 8 battle “a disaster for the Ukrainian army.”
