Musk denies accusations of treason for refusing Ukraine to activate Starlink in Crimea

American billionaire Elon Musk has rejected accusations of treason for refusing to Ukraine to activate the Starlink satellite network in the Crimea region.

The entrepreneur wrote about this on the social network X.

How Musk responded to accusations of treason

Commenting on a post on the social network X that refusing Ukraine to activate Starlink is a form of treason, Musk wrote that those who accuse him of treason are traitors.

The entrepreneur noted that the United States did not declare war on Russia.

I am a US citizen and only have this passport. No matter what happens, I will fight for America and die in it, – the businessman wrote.

Previously, Musk said that he refused to activate Starlink to Ukraine because he wanted to help people.

According to Musk, Kiev’s use of Starlink for attacks on Crimea is a violation of the user agreement.

Last week, CNN, citing a biography of Musk written by Walter Isaacson, reported that the entrepreneur cut off Ukraine’s access to Starlink in order to disrupt a secret attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Russian Navy in Crimea.

According to the TV channel, Musk’s decision was dictated by fear of Moscow using nuclear weapons in response to this attack.

Musk denied CNN’s claims, clarifying that the network in the Crimea region was not turned on and that he refused to activate it for Ukraine out of fears about a possible attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Russian fleet.

As the businessman noted, if he had agreed to Ukraine’s request, SpaceX would have become an accomplice to a major military act and escalation.
