Partial mobilization has been announced in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the resumption of hostilities on the line of contact with Azerbaijan.

The corresponding decree was signed on August 3 by the president of the unrecognized republic, Arayik Harutyunyan.

This was reported with reference to the press service of the NKR President.

What’s happening

On August 3, Armenian news agencies, citing statements by the Karabakh army, reported a sharp escalation on the line of contact with Azerbaijan.

At the moment, it is known that two servicemen were killed and 14 were injured.

In connection with the resumption of hostilities, the NKR President signed a decree on mobilization.

On August 3, the President of the Republic of Artsakh signed a decree on carrying out partial mobilization, – said in the message.

The Armenian authorities have not yet commented on the events in Karabakh.
