According to observational data, the planet has begun to absorb heat almost twice as intense since 2005. By the end of 2019, the energy imbalance became even more obvious than at the start of the research.
Scientists from the US Space Agency conducted the research together with colleagues from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The results were published by The Guardian.
The increase in heat absorption detected from 2005 to 2019 caused concern and concern among researchers.
As it turns out, up to 90% of the excess energy generated by this process ends up in the ocean.
This is indicated by changes in water temperature in the oceans.
