The international mission under the auspices of NATO in Kosovo (KFOR) has announced its readiness to intervene in the Serbia-Kosovo conflict.

This could happen if tensions in northern Kosovo increase.

The NATO-led KFOR mission is closely monitoring developments and stands ready to intervene if stability is threatened. – corresponding statement from MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

On the last day of July, the media reported about a shootout on the border, fires, and barricaded roads.

This information was confirmed by the government and police of Kosovo, as well as the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

However, the Serbian Ministry of Defense denied information about its army entering the neighboring republic.

The day before, President Aleksandar Vucic arrived at the Serbian General Staff. He called on everyone for peace, but noted: if there are aggressive actions on the part of Kosovo, “Serbia will win.”

It all started due to the fact that from August 1, the Kosovo authorities planned to block the entry into the country of Serbian citizens and re-register the cars of those who are already in Kosovo.

After an appeal to the official Pristina by the American ambassador, the republican authorities agreed to postpone the introduction of these measures until September 1.
