NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg spoke about the situation in which the Ukrainian army found itself after the start of the counteroffensive.
He notes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing problems in the process of overcoming the defenses of the Russian army.

The NATO Secretary General adds that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are facing fierce Russian resistance – the Russian Armed Forces have created a static defense with minefields and anti-tank barriers.
Stoltenberg says that at the moment the Ukrainian army needs modern equipment to overcome these lines.
The Ukrainian counter-offensive began in some directions on June 4 – the largest part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ forces is concentrated in the Zaporozhye direction.
During a meeting with military officers, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the Ukrainian army had not achieved significant results in any of the areas.
