NATO Secretary General spoke about Ukraine’s accelerated entry into the alliance

Former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen spoke about Ukraine’s entry into the alliance.

He believes that Kyiv can receive accelerated approval due to Sweden and Finland.

“Ukraine meets the criteria for admission to NATO, and next year the admission procedure following the example of Sweden and Finland may begin”– Rasmussen’s RIA «Novosti».

The former Secretary General believes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine may soon become one of the most experienced in the European Union.

Rasmussen believes that the Ukrainian administration hopes to receive security guarantees before joining NATO.

He also believes that Ukraine’s entry into the alliance will provide an opportunity to strengthen security throughout Europe.

The former Secretary General notes that the Ukrainian authorities want to receive clear signals from the West about their readiness to help.

Another goal of Kyiv is to implement the points of the peace plan proposed by Vladimir Zelensky.
