Negotiations in the United States on financing Ukraine ended in failure

31views

Negotiations in the US Senate between Democrats and Republicans regarding additional financial assistance for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan have come to nothing.

Representatives of both parties did not find a compromise on Joe Biden’s request to provide support to the above countries and Taiwan.

The TASS agency reported this with reference to the NBC television company, which in turn refers to its own sources.

They said that Republicans had announced their intention to block the president’s request if the draft law did not include “appropriate immigration changes.”

In the Senate, the TV company reports, attempts were made to reach a compromise on new rules for ensuring the protection of the country’s southern border.

But none of the attempts was crowned with success due to the “deep disagreements” that took place.

Earlier, Bloomberg, citing some American lawmakers, reported that Ukraine probably will not receive assistance from the United States until mid-December, possibly until next year.

And the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, said that Washington has already spent 96% of the funds allocated to assist Kyiv.
