Netanyahu explained why Israel is not transferring the Iron Dome to the Ukrainian Armed Forces

0views

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave an interview to the American Wall Street Journal, where he spoke about the reasons for the refusal to transfer the Iron Dome missile defense system to Ukraine.

He says that the Israeli government fears that these weapons could fall into the hands of Iranian militants.

“If this system falls into the hands of Iran, millions of Israelis will be at risk.”– RIA Novosti Netanyahu.

Netanyahu previously rejected calls from some US lawmakers and Ukrainian officials to join the West in arming the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Israeli prime minister notes that his government has concerns that the United States and the Ukrainian administration do not have.

Earlier, the Ukrainian ambassador to Israel described the reasons for the refusal to transfer the missile defense system as “fictitious and speculative.”

Russia, under any circumstances, opposes the transfer of any type of weapons to the Ukrainian army.

The Russian side also warned that it would destroy all weapons supplied by the West.
