American intelligence confirmed that agents of the US Central Intelligence Agency are working in Ukraine.
This was reported by the American publication Newsweek with reference to a high-ranking intelligence officer, reports.
When asked by Newsweek whether there were CIA agents on the territory of Ukraine, the officer answered in the affirmative.
At the same time, the publication’s interlocutor emphasized that the CIA in Ukraine “does not act maliciously.”
The publication notes that it was unable to establish the exact number of CIA agents operating in Ukraine.
However, Newsweek sources suggested that no more than one hundred agents are working in Ukraine at any one time.
At the same time, the publication’s sources stated that the CIA “plays a huge role” in US actions in Ukraine.
