Newsweek: the US fears that Russia may acquire American UAV technology

0views

Retired US Armed Forces Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman warned of the consequences of the crash of an American drone off the coast of Crimea.

According to him, Russia can acquire American UAV technology.

This is reported by .

What are the US worried about?

Vindman expressed concern that Russia could raise the wreckage of the MQ-9 drone that fell yesterday off the coast of Crimea from the bottom of the Black Sea and thus take over American technology.

I’m concerned that Russia has the greatest chance of raising debris from the sea and taking advantage of these technologies, – said the lieutenant colonel.

White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby told CNN that the United States is trying to prevent the drone from falling into the wrong hands.

At the same time, Kirby doubted that the drone would be able to be raised from the day of the sea.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the American drone fell due to its own sharp maneuvering.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin has nothing to add to the statement of the Ministry of Defense.
