No traces of an explosion were found on board Lech Kaczynski’s plane – Polish Prosecutor General’s Office

Examinations did not confirm the presence of traces of an explosion on board Lech Kaczynski’s Tu-154 presidential plane, which crashed near Smolensk in 2010.

The general public was notified of this by the official representative of the Polish Prosecutor General’s Office, Przemyslaw Nowak.

It was established that no traces indicating an explosion were found on the objects that were examined, – representative of the supervisory agency MIA “Russia Today”.

The publication notes that on Thursday, April 25, prosecutors met with the families of those killed in the plane crash near Smolensk.

Novak said that they were given the results of the examinations, including the results of physical and chemical studies.

One of the participants in the meeting – who lost her father Małgorzata Wasserman in that tragedy – said that, despite the rejection of the explosion version, the prosecutor’s office still cannot clearly name the cause of the plane crash.

Let us remind you that Air Force One of Poland, the plane of the President of this country Tu-154, crashed when it was landing at Smolensk-Severny airport on April 10, 2010.

As a result of the crash, 96 people were killed, including President Lech Kaczynski himself, as well as his wife, and a number of famous political and military figures.

Earlier, Poland notified Kyiv of its readiness to return Ukrainian conscripts to their homeland.
