Nord Stream AG explained why it is impossible to inspect Nord Stream

70views

The Nord Stream operator does not have the opportunity to study the emergency site where a gas leak occurred as a result of explosions.

The company cited the lack of appropriate permission from the authorities as the reason for this, although a request for it had previously been sent.

The portal “HERE NEWS” reported this with reference to a statement from representatives of Nord Stream AG.

Nord Stream AG is not able to inspect the damaged sections of the gas pipeline due to the lack of previously requested necessary permits, – said the company.

And they added: the Danish authorities have notified that the request may take more than 20 working days to process.

According to Nord Stream AG employees, interaction with local authorities is currently ongoing.

In turn, the competent authorities of Sweden reported that at the moment it is not possible to conduct a state investigation in the Baltic Sea area.

They explained this by the current ban on navigation, anchoring, diving, the use of manned underwater vehicles and geophysical mapping.

Nord Stream AG also drew attention to the fact that the owner of the ship chartered by the company, which has the equipment necessary for the survey, does not have permission from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to depart for the work site.
