In recent days, Türkiye has faced several serious problems at once.

Forest fires are raging across the country. In addition, the epidemiological situation has sharply worsened.

The daily increase in coronavirus infections in Turkey amounted to more than 22 thousand.

If compared with the indicators at the beginning of the second month of summer, the increase turned out to be fivefold, foreign media report.

However, the record increase in incidence is still far away.

The largest increase in COVID-19 infections in Turkey was detected on April 16 of this year.

On that day, 63 thousand citizens of the country tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Later the situation improved. By the beginning of summer, the daily figure rarely exceeded 7 thousand.

However, in mid-summer, an increase in incidence was again recorded in the republic.

According to the latest data, over the entire period of the pandemic, more than 5.6 million cases of COVID-19 infection have been identified in Turkey. More than 50 thousand people have become victims of coronavirus infection.

Despite all the problems, many tourists still continue to arrive in the country.
