Note for Belarusian tourists: Venice has introduced an entrance fee to the city

60views

Belarusian tourists who have plans to visit one of the most attractive European cities – Venice – should know that it will no longer be possible to do this for free.

And all because local authorities have introduced a mandatory fee for a one-day stay in a beautiful Italian village.

You need to pay starting today, April 25th. Tariff – 5 euros. Pay and they will let you through.

Like the ONT TV channel, in this way the leadership of the Venice administration intends to reduce the number of tourists by redirecting the flow of “suffering” to other cities of the country.

Authorities say that fewer than 50,000 people currently live in the city on a permanent basis, while the number of tourists arriving annually is about 30 million.

Housing prices and endless streams of foreigners are forcing local residents to move elsewhere.

According to statistics, 2/3 of tourists come to Venice for only one day, even without an overnight stay, bringing little income to the city’s economy.

Therefore, the mayor’s office decided: from April 25, to charge tourists 5 euros for entering the city (from 08:30 to 16:00).

The know-how will be valid until July 14. During this period, having issued a paid entry, you will need to download a QR code to your smartphone, which will be checked by inspectors in the most popular locations in the city.

Disobedient tourists from among the violators can be “soldered” with a substantial fine – from 50 to 300 euros.
