Fires are raging in the Turkish resort province of Antalya, popular among Belarusian tourists.
At the moment, 53 injured citizens are known.
In particular, this figure was announced by Turkish Minister of Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli, Internet sources report citing Turkish media.
The head of the department noted that various versions of the fires are currently being considered.
We are talking about forest fires that broke out simultaneously in four locations in the Manavgat district of Antalya.
The situation is complicated by strong winds, due to which the fire is spreading rapidly. In addition, the country is now abnormally hot – over +40 degrees.
It is reported that about 400 rescuers and 19 helicopters are fighting the fires.
In one area of the province, many houses were damaged. Residents of the Azizler Kalemler district were evacuated – their houses were also damaged.
Tourist excursions have been suspended in the resort areas of Side, Sorgun and Manavgat.
