Note to tourists: hotels in Egypt are allowed to accept guests without restrictions

0views

For quite a long period, Egypt, a popular tourist destination, was subject to strict restrictions imposed in connection with the spread of COVID-19.

Since last summer, the maximum occupancy rate in institutions for temporary residence of visitors was 50 percent.

Now this restriction has been lifted: visitors can be accommodated in all hotel rooms.

This was reported by news agencies with reference to the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism.

Despite the possibility of hotels being fully occupied, other anti-Covid measures will continue to be in effect in the country.

It is worth noting that Egypt is a popular tourist destination in the autumn.

But last spring the situation was much worse. At that time, the North African country temporarily stopped air communications with other countries.

A few months later, tourists began to come to Egypt again. However, hotels were not allowed to exceed 50 percent capacity.

Later, active vaccination began in the country. Almost all employees of tourist facilities have been vaccinated against coronavirus.

Thanks to the widespread use of the anti-Covid vaccine in Egypt, the epidemiological situation has improved. The daily increase in the number of COVID-19 infections does not exceed 1 thousand.
