Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk expressed a desire to personally apologize to the German Chancellor.

The diplomat is ready to apologize to Olaf Scholz for an offensive statement addressed to him.

Let us recall that the Ukrainian called the leader of the nation “an offended liver sausage,” commenting on the extremely slow, in his opinion, provision of military assistance by Berlin to Kyiv.

The incident occurred a month and a half ago. But only now Melnik decided to ask for forgiveness for the insult.

Looking back, I naturally regret what I said. I will personally apologize to him, Ambassador of MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

It is noted that the diplomat said this during an interview with the popular German magazine Spiegel.

There, Melnik said that his words addressed to Olaf Scholz upset Vladimir Zelensky.

Also, the head of the diplomatic mission had to explain himself to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.

Now Melnik wants to meet with the German Chancellor and personally apologize to him for what he said.
