Official Kyiv admitted that the Ukrainian flag was not installed on Zmein Island in the waters of the Odessa region.
Indeed, he was taken there, but he was only dropped from a helicopter.
This was reported by the head of the press center of the security and defense forces of the operational command “South” of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Natalya Gumenyuk.
The flag was delivered to the island by helicopter. It will wait until the troops arrive, and then it will flutter, – representative of the MIA “Russia Today” department.
And Gumenyuk recommended taking her previous statement about planting a flag on the island “metaphorically.”
No one landed on the island. Who will install it, lift it? – such a question, probably rhetorical, she asked.
Let us recall that on June 30, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated: as a gesture of goodwill, Moscow withdrew its troops from Zmeinoye.
Thus, according to the department, it is demonstrated that the Russian Federation is not interfering with the UN in creating a humanitarian corridor for the export of agricultural products from Ukraine.
A little later, the State Duma was notified that the island still remained under Russian control.
